RADIESSE® in Orlando
The aging process can rob your skin of its youthful appearance as natural collagen slowly breaks down causing a loss of volume and elasticity. RADIESSE® is a next-generation cosmetic dermal filler used to restore a natural look to the face, hands and neck. Results from numerous dermatological studies have shown that RADIESSE® is a longer lasting treatment than many earlier products used to correct wrinkles around the nose and mouth (also called smile lines or nasolabial folds).
What is RADIESSE®?
RADIESSE® is a volumizing cosmetic filler made of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance that exists in the human body. Hyaluronic acid aids the skin in maintaining both hydration and volume. Made from calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a water-based gel, RADIESSE® adds fullness and provides a soft natural look with longer-lasting results
Why choose RADIESSE®?
RADIESSE® has raised the bar for facial augmentation and contouring. Treatments provide a natural transformation to restore a more youthful appearance. As a cosmetic filler, RADIESSE® immediately replenishes lost volume to facial areas as well as stimulates the production of your own natural collagen. This process can continue for months following an injection, thus extending results from the initial effect. Since RADIESSE® is formulated to target deeper wrinkles, it a popular choice for both facial, neck and hand rejuvenation.
How is this Procedure Conducted?
During your consultation with a skincare specialist, our doctor will evaluate your unique skin condition. An individualized treatment plan is created based on your specific signs of aging and the aesthetic results you wish to achieve. RADIESSE® injections are FDA approved and can be used with numbing agents to reduce discomfort during the procedure. As is the case with any injection, you may experience slight swelling, redness or tenderness at the injection site.
The unique formula in RADIESSE® provides an instant increase in facial volume, flexibility and strength, and continues to stimulate collagenesis (the production of new collagen) for effects that may last a year or more. Although RADIESSE® is a long-lasting facial rejuvenation treatment; it is fully metabolized by the body over time without adverse effects. You can use ice packs to manage swelling and redness following the procedure as well as limit activities for a few days. It also helps to sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated.
How often should I do RADIESSE®?
Since every patient's needs are somewhat unique, there is no single answer. Based upon the condition of your skin and personal goals for aesthetic improvement, your doctor may prescribe multiple injections during your first treatment or explain how follow up treatments may work better. This can depend upon the amount of volumizing and sculpting required. Typically, RADIESSE® last 9 to 12 months.

The staff were great! Sorry I don't recall all names. I found them to be very professional and made the process of "cutting" on my ear pretty relaxing. My only question was that I was prescribed 5 pain pills to cover pain for the next 30 hours, yet was not given a Dr's excuse to miss work the following day. Thus I assume they felt it was ok to go to work under the influence of Hydrocodone :) All in all I would highly recommend the staff and Dr's at the Sand Lake office!
