Virtual Awards and Recognition for 2020

September 30, 2020

During these unprecedented times, Associates in Dermatology has remained committed to caring for our patients while implementing the highest levels of COVID-19 safety measures. Although many of the abrupt changes in your life may have left you feeling somewhat isolated, Dr. Michael Steppie and the doctors, nurses, and physician assistants at Associates in Dermatology remain dedicated to delivering the healthcare you need with the same level of professional engagement in today’s physical and virtual workplace. For our higher risk patients that need an extra layer of protection, we offer telehealth medicine by requesting a Telehealth Visit or calling us at 800-827-7546 to discuss your specific needs.

Not only has the COVID-19 pandemic affected the way we deliver healthcare, digital communication has taken center stage in recognizing and rewarding companies and individuals for their unique accomplishments. In the absence of traditional awards ceremonies and physical events to express face-to-face congratulations, online conferencing and digital links are being utilized to deliver recognition culture in the today’s workplace. Throughout our Central Florida communities, nearly everyone is experiencing change, but recognizing how entities are adapting to serve their mission creates new hope as we continue down the road to normalcy. We proudly invite you to celebrate our recognized successes for 2020, which would never have been possible without your support.

Orlando Family Magazine TOP PHYSICIANS 2020

“This award matters a great deal to me, as doctors from 50 different disciplines were nominated by the magazine’s readers,” says Michael Steppie, M.D., president and medical director of Associates in Dermatology. “It is a reflection of the loyalty and love that our patients have for our dedicated team of healthcare providers who serve all sixteen Central Florida communities.” Dr. Steppie is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgeon who has made it his mission to educate the community about leading-edge dermatologic solutions and life-saving skin cancer interventions. Associates in Dermatology currently provides a broad range of clinical and cosmetic treatment options for common conditions, including acne, psoriasis, eczema, allergic dermatitis, hair loss, age spots, nail disease, moles, aging skin, and unwanted skin blemishes.

In a recently published article (Putting Patients First by John Anthony), Dr. Steppie thanked those who Associates in Dermatology serves by recognizing people’s commitment to improving their communities under these challenging circumstances. “Telemedicine has made it possible to stay connected with our patients, which is very important during these uncertain times,” says Dr. Steppie. “While adjustments had to be made due to the pandemic, our goal was to make sure patients in all of our communities were treated like family members.” For the third consecutive year, Dr. Michael Steppie was nominated and selected as one of Central Florida’s leading physicians. Although highly recognized as one of Central Florida’s leading dermatologists, Dr. Steppie completed residences in dermatology, dermatology surgery, and internal medicine. “My focus is on healthy lifestyle habits and raising awareness and prevention,” remarked Dr. Steppie in a recent media interview. “My most important goal is to help patients in any way I can.” Throughout his time at Associates in Dermatology, Dr. Steppie's highly influential work and unparalleled effort to educate communities about life-saving dermatologic solutions has earned him a mantle full of prestigious awards and recognitions, including numerous Vitals Patient's Choice and Compassionate Doctor awards.

Recently, Dr. Michael Steppie was awarded Fellowship in the American College of Physicians during a virtual ACP Convocation Ceremony presented by ACP President Robert M. McLean, MD, MACP.
