Over time, your skin loses many of its naturally-occurring components due to aging, sun exposure and lifestyle issues. As collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid are lost, facial skin is prone to develop wrinkles and etched-in lines. Although BELOTERO BALANCE® is made from the same basic material as some of the competitive dermal fillers, it is unique in the way these properties adapt to your body. When properly matched, this uniqueness can provide soft, smooth corrections.

BELOTERO BALANCE® is one of the newer dermal fillers created from a hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a material that is naturally occurring in the body. As a component of your skin, it binds to water molecules to allow for smooth corrections by immediately filling in wrinkles and folds. The cohesive gel filler tends to spread more evenly than other HA products.

BELOTERO BALANCE® was developed to quickly adapt to the individuality of your skin and mold to your distinct facial contours. Treatments using BELOTERO BALANCE® for all areas of the face and neck are highly effective and can reduce forehead lines, fine lines in the cheeks, vertical lip lines and crow's feet. Unique contouring properties also help to maintain normal facial expressions.

How is this Procedure Conducted?

While more common skin treatment options such as chemical peels may be beneficial for improving your skin's appearance, BELOTERO BALANCE® injections use a contouring gel to rebuild facial volume and structure. A numbing agent is used to reduce discomfort and one or more injections are performed during a single appointment.

When compared to Botox injections that help relax lines formed by years of facial movement, BELOTERO BALANCE® fills in hollow areas for noticeable same-day results. This deeper level of treatment offers distinct advantages for more immediate improvements for stubborn etched-in lines, hollows and wrinkles with little to no down time. After your treatment, you can expect some redness, swelling or soreness in the area of the injection site. These side effects typically resolve on their own within a few days.

How often should I do BELOTERO BALANCE®?

Although individual results vary, BELOTERO BALANCE® should last for six months or longer. The amount of product used and the area being treated affect how long a single treatment lasts. Moreover, the contouring gel filler may not last as long in active areas where a lot of movement occurs due to talking, smiling and eating. Your doctor may suggest a follow-up appointment (usually in 3 to 6 months) to determine if and when additional treatments are needed.
