Among Orlando dermatologists, our practice enjoys a stellar reputation with both patients and peers. With 17 Central Florida locations, our clinics offer a full range of skincare services for both clinical and cosmetic dermatology. Our doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and clinical aestheticians help patients overcome all sorts of skin-related conditions from an irritating but harmless rash to benign moles and malignant skin lesions.
At Associates in Dermatology, we treat a variety of medical conditions that affect the skin, hair and nails. Under the guidance of Dr. Michael Steppie (President and Medical Director), our specialists offer cutting-edge clinical and cosmetic dermatology services. Aging may be inevitable by nature, but our physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and paramedical clinical aesthetician can keep your skin healthy and looking great for years to come.
Dr. Steppie is a board-certified physician who has completed residencies in internal medicine, dermatology and dermatologic surgery and is a highly qualified MOHS micrographic skin cancer surgeon. He is a dedicated member of the prestigious Amonette Circle of Skin Cancer Foundation and has been honored with multiple American Medical Association Physician Recognition Awards, received the Patient’s Choice Award for the last three consecutive years and was voted one of America's Top 10 Physicians in Orlando in 2014*.
Michael Steppie, MD, also serves as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Central Florida and as Clinical Assistant Professor in Dermatology at the Florida State University College of Medicine (Orlando Regional Campus). His work is often referenced and his expert opinions have been quoted in publications such as Men's Health Magazine and The Skin Cancer Foundation Journal.
Skin Cancer Surgeons
We offer a full range of both clinical and cosmetic services to keep our patients' skin, hair and nails healthy and attractive. Our nationally recognized MOHS micrographic skin cancer surgeon has 30 years of experience, and we have served as Orlando's preferred skin cancer surgery center. Now, we proudly offer a non-surgical approach using low-energy radiation to treat non-melanoma skin lesions and tumors.
NOTE: This cutting-edge skin cancer treatment is performed in one of our in-office laboratories, which is subject to stringent quality and personnel requirements established by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA). The practice is also proud to be a College of American Pathologists (CAP) accredited laboratory.
In addition to our superficial radiation therapy, surgical excisions of melanoma, skin tumors, cancers, benign moles and skin lesions, we offer a number of general dermatological therapies. We treat common conditions such as allergic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, eczema and disease of the hair and nails.
Our doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants also perform a variety of cosmetic procedures that include injections for Botox® and dermal fillers as well as medical strength chemical peels, electrocautery and acne treatments.

Giving back to the Community
Through affiliations with numerous charities and foundations for years, Our Orlando dermatology practice has been providing free medical care to Central Florida’s uninsured and indigent, including performing free skin cancer screenings during the Skin Cancer Foundation’s annual Road to Healthy Skin Tour and within the practice, particularly during May, designated as Skin Cancer Awareness Month nationwide.
Albert Einstein once said, “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” Our dermatology team firmly believe this and are passionate about living lives that serve their patients and their community.

I needed to go in and have some skin tags removed, which were annoying at best. I was concerned about the process by which that happens, but after meeting Eric the Physician Assistant, all my fears were cast away, Lol. No seriously, they have such a great little team over there. I completely enjoyed that the office was a short ride from my job, and to my home. The staff is small and friendly. I personally love not having to sit in a room full of people and wait forever. Eric, is funny, nice, and did a fantastic job removing my skin tags. Thanks a lot!
