Mohs Technician

Education and Experience:
- Dermatology Experience
- MOHS Certified Technician
- 1-2 years MOHS experience
Skill Set:
- Ability to accurately document and record patient notes into EMR system.
- Prepare Surgical Room
- Assisting in Surgery
- Biopsy reparation and processing information
- Assisting with examinations.
Responsibilities:
- Counsels patients by transmitting physician’s orders and questions about surgery.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Serves and protects dermatology practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal state and local requirement.
- Process skin cancer tissue with speed and efficiency
- Embedding tissue
- Staining the tissue
- Cutting tissue using microtome and placing on slides.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Must be flexible to travel between several clinics in the Orlando area as we have several practices in Central Florida.
